THE ALWAYS OF THE NOW: RADICAL PERCEPTION
MARCH 2-5 with Anya Smolnikova and Lilianna Kane
A four-day drawing and movement workshop based in research and skill-building inside of personal practices and collective score with Anya Smolnikova and Lilianna Kane
We will have movement sessions in the mornings before breakfast and in the evenings after dinner led by Lily.
The movement sessions will correspond with / be a tuning for the drawing sessions with Anya during the days and afternoons. We will work in various positions: sitting at a table, on the floor, standing with paper on the wall, and working in sketchbooks, working indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). We will be exploring elements of Anya’s research and practice that come from academic training, adaptations of nomadic artmaking - drawing and painting while on the move/traveling; and integrating movement and embodiment practices to help connect the body and the imagination.

Scholarship + work trade?
We offer 2 full scholarships for Black, Indigenous and People of Color [BIPOC] folks in each session. If you are interested please APPLY HERE
WORK TRADE IS CURRENTLY FULL FOR THIS EVENT
