SHIRA YAZIV: MOVEMENT EXPLORATION WORKSHOP
APRIL 13th - 16th

Join movement artist and teacher Shira Yaziv for 3 days this spring. This workshop is open to all levels, no experience required.

The intention is to leave the weekend feeling better than arriving. The weekend will be filled with guided invitations that create space for being present, learning and connecting with self as well as others.

WEEKEND WILL INCLUDE:

DANCE IMPROVISATION: Through listening to our body we will move from a place of curiosity. Moving in space using rhythms, textures and imagery.

CONTACT IMPROVISATION: Allowing our body to be in space with other bodies. Dancing in contact and without. Leaning, counterbalancing, falling, pouring weight, sliding, pushing, matching, hugging, playing and resting.

MOVEMENT PATHWAYS: We will practice specific pathways and sequence them together. Searching for flow, coordination and ease as we explore our connection to the floor and the air. We will be maneuvering our body through space while pivoting, rolling, sliding, falling and landing.

ACROBATICS: Looking for comfort in moving in a multidimensional world. Let's explore being upside down, rotate, spiral, roll and flip.

GIVING AND RECIEVING: Through bodywork, dancing and somatic exercises.

What would support your partner/s to feel good that also feels good to you?
