DRIFT: is a collaborative curriculum focused on skill-building, open practice, research sessions and collective belonging. We will engage in experimental markmaking exercises, fundamental drawing techniques and work with a figure model. Daily movement and contact improvisation sessions will keep us flexible, integrate the senses and open gateways to empathic relating.
Vadiando Vermont is 10 days of immersive capoeira workshops, classes, rodas and 'vadiar' [ hanging out ] to celebrate the global capoeira family. All lineages, groups and levels welcome. Vadiando Vermont, inspired by the monthly ‘Vadiando’s’ of the late Mestre Itabora in California and other events, is an opportunity for capoeiristas of all kinds and levels to immerse themselves in the form and play a LOT! To focus on what connects us and not divides us and to spend time together.

‘There's the work of making dance, and then there's the work of making a world, or remaking it. I felt like the Field Center's ethos is built on the conviction that those two projects are inseparable.
The place itself is a beautiful one -- magic -- and but it's the care, thoughtfulness, and beauty of what is being built between people there that have remained with me quite deeply.‘
- Agnes Borinsky | PANDA LAB Participant
We offer you this somatic experience-structure that supports restorative processing within a group container. The daily morning practice and silent mornings will bring a slow and meditative beginning to each day. Writing and drawing will help process what arises, settles, and releases. The schedule will be built around two 1hr Group Shakes. We shake to music {most of the time}, together for a duration with the emphasis on shaking and rocking the body in various ways.
Our monthly Contact Improvisation jam!
2nd Wednesday of the month at 6pm. Classes with rolling teachers into open jamming.
